Close the Deal
Help customers reach a confident decision and complete their purchase with care
A strong presentation can still leave questions about price, timing or the choice itself. Close the Deal helps jewellery professionals respond to concerns, manage negotiation and invite commitment while protecting customer trust and the value of their offer.
This is one of eight courses in the Certified Jewelry Professional programme. It contains six units in the Skillset track.
What you will learn
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Explore customer objections and respond calmly with relevant reassurance.
- Identify the people who influence or approve a purchase.
- Explain genuine timing considerations without creating undue pressure.
- Prepare for negotiation with clear boundaries and a focus on mutual value.
- Recognise readiness, confirm agreement and invite the purchase.
- Plan after sales communication that confirms details and supports customer satisfaction.
Who this course is for
Close the Deal is for jewellery retail professionals who want greater confidence in the final stages of a sale. It is useful for associates handling customer hesitation, discussing price or helping several people agree on a purchase.
Managers and coaches can use the course to help their teams practise closing conversations, protect value during negotiation and deliver consistent after sales care.
What the course covers

Identify Decision Makers
Map the people involved in a purchase and understand their roles. Explore who decides, recommends, influences or supports the choice, then plan communication that includes the relevant people.
Create Urgency
Understand whether hesitation relates to emotion, practical concerns or timing. Explain genuine considerations such as availability and delivery deadlines, and offer a manageable next step that keeps the customer in control.
Manage Negotiation
Deliver the Close
After Sales Service
Plan thoughtful communication after the purchase using Confirm, Continue and Cultivate. Check transaction details, explain care and documentation, and follow up to ensure the customer feels supported.
How learning works
Each unit combines a short learning video with a quiz and an individual activity.
You will practise responses to objections, map buying decisions and prepare approaches to negotiation, closing and after sales care.
